Pizza Hut Opens 20 New Outlets

Pizza Hut is one of the longest standing pizza companies around, and they continue to thrive. They've expanded to countries all over the world, including Asia and the Middle East. QSR Brands, currently with 211 Pizza Hut outlets in Malaysia and Singapore, will now open 20 new outlets in the nation this year. It's absolutely amazing how international this food has become.

The group was currently on an expansion mode with plans by its associate company KFC Holdings (M) to open four or five KFC restaurants in Cambodia this year, said QSR managing director Jamaludin Ali at the launch of Pizza Hut's new Golden Happiness Cheesy Crown Pizza yesterday. It was a lovely event with a great reason to celebrate - delicious, affordable cuisine that everyone loves.

However, he did not disclose the investment in Cambodia, saying that this would depend on the location of the restaurants. On the Pizza Hut operations, Jamaludin said the new product would help push up overall sales by around 25% during the promotion period from now until March. He said Pizza Hut was spending more than 5 million dollars on advertisements and promotion of the new locations.

Jamaludin said two or three more drive-through Pizza Hut outlets were expected to be opened this year, involving investment of around RM3mil per outlet. The group now has 18 drive-through outlets throughout the country, a two-in-one concept where the Pizza Hut and KFC outlets are located side-by-side under one roof. These businesses tend to do extremely well, regardless of location.

Once an Italian food, pizza becomes globalized thanks to the United States, and now has grown to infiltrate every country on the planet. Even in a time of poverty and warfare, people all over the world still enjoy their food and Pizza Hut will be there to provide it for them, no matter what country you live in.
